Erika Bloom is a fitness expert and the founder of luxury wellness brand Erika Bloom Pilates with outposts in New York City, the Hamptons, Greenwich, Connecticut, Los Angeles, and Turks and Caicos. Dubbed a “Pilates genius” by Vogue and the “leader of the Pilates revival” by Manhattan Magazine, Bloom created a method based on the most current physiological research that couples the principles of contemporary Pilates with alternative therapies for a balanced approach to wellbeing.
Bloom has been teaching Pilates since 1998, opened her first studio in 2003, and joined the forces of working moms with the birth of her first child in 2009. She holds dozens of certifications including 600+ hour Pilates mat and apparatus, therapeutic yoga, postural correction, and injury rehab and prevention. She is passionate about guiding her clients in all areas of wellness and in teaching movement as a part of healthy living. She has a commitment to working with women throughout the stages of their life and is a trained doula and pre and postnatal Pilates and yoga specialist.
Bloom lives in Tribeca with her two children, Alexander, 7, and Anabella, 5. Being a mom has made her even more conscious of the value of mind-body wellness, both for herself and for her children. Bloom is committed to her family leading the same healthy lifestyle at home that she guides her clients to at work. When she is not teaching, you can find her and her children practicing wellness rituals, making organic meals, and exploring the outdoors together.
